Marin 911: Man tries to lure Mill Valley boy into car

MILL VALLEY

Stranger Danger: A 12 year old boy on his bike was approached by a man on Camino Alto on Aug. 9 who tried to lure him into his car with the promise of an electric bike. The boy told his dad and his dad reported the incident to police.

Tenter: A homeless person slept in a tent in front of the school on Throckmorton Avenue. Police will move her along.

Talker: A woman talking to herself was reported on Old Mill Street on Aug. 10. Police made contact. She refused government service and moved along.

Rock Band: A rock band was reported in the area of Manor Drive and Del Casa Drive “causing a noise disturbance.” If it gets worse, the citizen said she’d call the police back.

Grungy: A “grungy” man holding a sign about electric torture was reported standing outside the post office. The man refused government services.

Homeless: Police received another complaint about a homeless woman sleeping in a tent in front of the school on Throckmorton Avenue. Homeless person was contacted but she was not doing anything illegal.

Shoplifter: A kid tried to walk out of a store with a bottle of vodka in their backpack. Kid was stopped and booze taken away. He was estimated to be about 14 with short blonde hair and a blue hoodie.

Passed Out: A woman appeared to be passed out on a bench on Evergreen Avenue. A citizen told police. Police made contact. She was a grocery store worker on break.

Camper: An older woman camped on Throckmorton Avenue. Police talked to her. She said she was headed to Point Reyes shortly.
