Who Are You: A realtor went to a residence in unincorporated Novato to host an open house. When she arrived it seemed the house was already showing with one car in the driveway and two people in the house. The realtor inadvertently blocked the suspect car in the driveway and went into the residence before she realized something criminal was afoot. The male subject told the realtor he was just looking but fled when she told them she was calling the Sheriff. The female subject quickly started packing up belongings into the car in the driveway.
The realtor called the Sheriff’s Office updating Deputies as they were responding, and locked herself in her car. With the assistance of Novato Police Department the female suspect was taken into custody. A search of the property revealed that the two had been staying in the home for a few days, cooking meals and washing laundry but the male suspect had gotten away. Property was found linking the pair of suspects to a second burglary that occurred earlier in the week.
The female suspect was booked at the Jail for the crime of Burglary.
The next day, Novato Police Department located the male suspect in an unrelated traffic stop and he too was booked at the Jail for Burglary.
