Marin 911: Mary Poppins shooed away from downtown shops, gloves with ‘weird substance’ left in burglarized car

SAUSALITO

Biden-like Driver: A man displaying Biden-like dementia was seen driving on a flat tire on Bridgeway. He was reported “not alert” and with possible “dementia.” Citizens stood by the driver awaiting police. Service provided. 

Mary Poppins: A homeless woman in a black coat and carrying an umbrella hoovered around downtown Sausalito, peering in windows and trying to get into shops. Police moved her along.

RV Living: Citizens reported two people living out of anRV on Coloma Street. Police monitoring vehicle.

Laundry Man: A homeless man was reported sleeping in the laundry room at an apartment complex on Bridgeway. He was asked to leave, but refused. Then left on foot down Bridgeway.

Weird Substance: A man’s car was broken into overnight on Feb. 2. His mirror was broken, stuff was thrown about and a pair of gloves with “some weird substance” on them were left behind. Service provided. 

Singer: A man who sings loudly and appears one bubble off center was reported on Harrison street. Possibly living in a church stairwell. Service provided.

Beggar: A woman begging for money left her kid to play in traffic. Citizen reported it as unsafe. Police advised the woman to take her of her child.

MILL VALLEY

Gold Coin: A Mill Valley resident reported to police that she ordered a gold coin. When the package arrived it was damaged and the coin was not inside the box.

Unwise Driver: A wife called police to let them know that her husband, who is demonstrating early signs of dementia, keeps wanting to drive the car. Advice given. 

Gun In Attic: A wife found a firearm in her attic and believes it is her husband, who lost his mind sometime back. Scared to have the gun in the house. 

Student Followed: A student on the cross country team reported to police that someone in a truck follows the student. Report taken. Service provided.

    My mother died of Alzheimer’s. It’s really not that funny. I’d appreciate if you’d reconsider comments you made about dementia. Also, keep the politics out of it.
