No Masks: A group of anchor-outs were gathered on shore not wearing masks or social distancing. One in the group hit an animal and raised his hand at a woman. Police advised the group — whether they were anchor-outs or now, who is to say — to straighten up and fly right in regards to health rules.
Fishy Saleswoman: A woman on Sausalito Boulevard heard her dogs bark. She went to the front door and found it ajar with a woman walking away. She said she was selling magazines door-to-door. The homeowner thought it was suspicious and called the police.
Friendly Neighbor: Police fielded a call from a neighbor on Prospect Avenue who wondered if his neighbor had a permit to cut down his trees. What, you can’t go talk to your neighbor?
Chatty Vagabond: A woman told police that while she was jogging a shaggy looking guy tried to engage her in conversation. Also, there appeared to be a bunch of cars on Caledonia Street in which people were calling home. She thought the police should know.
Knife Sharpener: A man sat on his private property and sharpened his knife. A frightened passer-by called it into the police.
Car Ransacked: A car on Filbert Avenue was found with its doors open and ransacked.
Window Peeker: A man in a dark blue hoodie and camo pants were seen peeping into window on Sunshine Avenue. Police rolled but the peeper was gone.
Knife: A citizen passed by a homeless person on Bridgeway who was carrying a 3-inch knife. Police notified.

Burglary Arrest: A man was arrested on Sunday, Dec. 13, after an early morning break-in at
Mi Familia restaurant in San Anselmo. Officers responded to 530 Redhill Avenue for an in-progress burglary at the restaurant. An employee called 9-1-1, reporting that he went to the business and found the front glass door smashed and he could see a person inside. Officers immediately arrived and saw the suspect come out of the building carrying a plastic trash can. Once the suspect realized the police were there, he started to run west on Red Hill Avenue. He lost his balance and dropped the trash can and a pry bar. The can was full of
pre-rolled coins taken from the restaurant safe and they rolled into the street and gutter. He was taken into custody without incident. The suspect’s car was parked nearby and drugs, drug paraphernalia, and some items of suspected stolen property were found inside. CMP detectives are continuing the investigation this week. Luiz Claudio Dutra Dester, age 39, of San Mateo was booked at Marin County Jail on charges of burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of a controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia.
Stolen Car: A caller reported returning to Nellen Avenue in Corte Madera to find her vehicle missing. An Officer took a stolen vehicle report.
Theft: A caller reported the catalytic converter taken from the vehicle while parked on Doherty Drive in Larkspur. An Officer took a report.
Domestic: A caller reported a dispute on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in San Anselmo. A San Anselmo resident was arrested for domestic battery, violation of probation and obstructing a Public Officer. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Unwanted: A caller reported an unwanted subject on Larkspur Landing Circle in Larkspur. A man, with no permanent address, was cited and released for violation of probation.
