Parenting: A man called the police because he thought a mom was harming her son. Police arrived and determined that she was just parenting the child. She told them that her neighbor is overly nosy.

Out To Lunch: A woman’s neighbor was supposed to meet for a lunch date, but she didn’t show. No answer at her door, so police were called for a welfare check. Turns out that the “missing” woman was at a lunch date with other friends and is OK. Service provided.

Bag Of Wallets: A worker from a local grocery store brought in to the police station a bag of wallets that had been left at the store and remained unclaimed.

Parking Dispute: Neighbors on Montford Avenue involved police on a parking dispute involving large vans that sometimes block driveways. Service provided.

Bar Fight: A fight in a local bar on Miller Avenue occurred on Aug. 12. It involved a beer being thrown. When police arrived things had quieted down and both people involved chose not to press charges. Service provided.

Naked Man: A woman from her home on Camino Alto could see a naked man laying on the ground. She asked if he was OK and he dropped an F-bomb on her and got in his car. She called the police, who caught up with naked man and took him away.

Sleeper: A homeless man slept in front of a business on Lomita Drive. Police woke him and he said he had overslept. Moved along.

Follower: Elderly women on Miller Avenue reported a man following them. When they stepped aside to let him pass, he refused. Police were called and told the man to stop it and move along.

Bridge Jumpers: Kids were jumping from the bridge on Hamilton Drive. Adults old them it was dangerous, but they said – in their juvenile wisdom – that it was safe because it is high tide. The kids dispersed when police were called.

Sleeper: A homeless man slept on private property on Lomita Drive. Residents asked him to move to public property, which he did.

Permitted: A person on Throckmorton Avenue notices people in the park dancing and playing music. Flute music was way too loud, he thought. He called the police thinking they don’t have a permit to do that. Turns out they did. It was practice for Shakespeare in the Park.
