Dec. 23 – 29, 2020
Possession: A San Rafael resident was arrested for bringing alcohol/drugs into prison, possession of controlled substance in prison, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance and a $30,000 warrant held by Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Possession of Everything: A Mill Valley resident was arrested for possession of controlled substance, possession of narcotic controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance without prescription, felon in possession of tear gas and violation of probation. A Daly City resident was arrested for narcotics possession for sale, forge/alter vehicle registration, possession of stolen property, misappropriation of lost property, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of narcotic controlled substance. Both men were transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Car Stolen: A resident on Prince Royal Passage in Corte Madera reported his vehicle stolen. While an Officer took a report, the vehicle was located unoccupied on Paradise Drive. The vehicle was released to the owner.
Bike Stolen: A resident on Upland Circle in Corte Madera reported his locked bicycle had been taken. An Officer took a report.
Forgery: A San Rafael resident was arrested for forgery, commercial burglary, conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Possession: A San Francisco resident was arrested for possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was cited and released.
Drunk: A San Anselmo resident was arrested for being drunk in public and violation of probation. He was transported and booked into Marin County Jail.
Sausalito
Dec. 30, 2020 – Jan. 6, 2021
Mooring Violations: Police contacted several anchor-outs and issued warning for parking and mooring violations.
Vandal: The elevator at 420 Litho Street was vandalized on Jan. 5. Three buttons were broken off.
Mental Issues: A man with apparent mental issues on Bridgeway told people not to look at him. Police moved him along.
Sleeping It Off: A homeless man slept in a parking log on Bridgeway on Jan. 2. He had a big bottle of vodka in his hand.
Catalytic Converter: Stolen Dec. 30 from a car parked on Liberty Way. Night shift handling.
Call of Nature: A homeless man urinated near a home on Bridgeway. Man was located by police and they pointed out to him public restrooms in the area.
Power Outage: A transformer blew on Dec. 30 on Bridgeway, knocking off power for a bit.
Church Bells: A citizen called police to notify them that church bells have been going off on Harrison Avenue. They rang for an hour, which the called said was unusual. The bells stopped shortly after the call.
Won’t Wear A Mask: Police heard a complaint from a landlord about a tenant who refuses to wear a mask in common areas. Police advised.
No Heat: A tenant of a complex on Bridgeway complained to the landlord that he doesn’t have heat or electricity. The utilities have been turned off and the tenant is “squatting” in the apartment. Civil issue.
Loud Party: A nearby resident called the cops on a New Year’s Eve party on Currey Avenue. There was “loud pounding, music, yelling and talking.” Police talked to the people and residence and they quieted down.
Fairfax
Dec. 17 – 31, 2020
Burglary: At Fairfax Park on Cascade Drive a citizen reported the passenger-side window of a car smashed and the mirror damaged.
Food Taken: At Victory Village on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard a citizen reported that her front door was opened and someone came in and swiped her mail and food.
Breaking In: A woman heard loud banging noises and feared someone was trying to break into her hope. Report taken.
Son Has Fentanyl: A mother called police to report that her son was walking towards downtown and that he has fentanyl.
Shoplifter: A man was reported to have taken clothing from Grillys on Bolinas Road. Service provided.
Drunk: A man was three sheets to the wind in the Good Earth Natural Foods on Center Boulevard. He threw beer around and bothered people. Arrest made.
Yelling Fire: A citizen told police he heard a recorded voice at Ross Valley Charter School repeat for 10 minutes “there’s a fire in the building.” Police responded and found Ross Valley Fire on scene, working on the alarm.
Vandalism: An out-of-control kid vandalized numerous items on Manor Road. Police caught the vandal and arrested him for vandalism and resisting arrest.
Yeller: A man was reported walking westbound on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and yelling bad words at the people in the houses he passed. Gone on arrival.
No Home: A little white dog with no collar was found at the Bank of America on Broadway. Service provided.
COVID-19 Calls: At Forrest Avenue and Center Boulevard, police received reports of a group of approximately 15 juvenile boys not wearing masks and not social distancing.
Slowly Walking: A woman reported “a strange man walking slowly in the area of the Library because her dogs have been barking non stop.” She asked police to check the area.” The slow walking man was described as wearing dirty clothing.
