Editor’s Note: Yes, there are public safety and crime issues right here in bucolic Marin County. These are just a few of the latest gleaned from cop logs by the journalists at Marin Local News.

MARIN COUNTY SHERIFF
French Market: A vendor at the French Market on Civic Center Drive told deputies that when setting up a man dropped a box of bracelets on his booth, which were quickly picked up by another man. Now the vendor is getting nasty calls from the supposed bracelet owner saying he’s missing about $4,800 worth of spilled bracelets. Deputies told the vendor to block the phone number.
Suspicious: A citizen on Feb. 23 reported a white Ford Explorer driving down Adrian Way in Santa Venetia in a suspicious way. Thinks the driver is generally up to no good. Deputies kept a watch on the area.
Bus Living: An old school bus painted white has been parked for weeks on Thomas Drive in Strawberry. Windows blacked out. Believed someone was living in the bus. It’s on the radar screen for Deputy patrol.
Loose Dog: A homeless woman’s dog – a Pit Bull – was chasing kids on Drake Avenue in Marin City. Residents wanted deputies to move the woman along. Service provided.
Dog Beef: Two people got in a verbal beef at a park on Drake Avenue in Marin City. One person has his dog in the park and dogs are off limits at the park. Service provided.
Fairfax Party: Deputies on Feb. 24 were called to Oak Manor Drive in Fairfax for a party in which the cars of guests are causing a traffic issue. Service provided.
Mudding: Deputies responded to a complaint of a bunch of kids with cars “mudding” on West Nicasio Road. Service provided.
Parking: A new tenant in Marin City doesn’t like other cars parking adjacent to her unit. Asked deputies about the situation. Advice given.
Service Dog: An Uber driver refused to let a service dog in his car on Feb. 25 in Tam Valley. The service dog owners were in the car and refused to get out. Deputies called. Uber driver cited.
DUI: A man was paddling around drunk in a kayak and at one point paddled near a house in Novato and talked to children there. That weirded out the parents who called deputies to have a chat with the paddler. He admitted he had been drinking quite a lot earlier in the day and promised to paddle away and get sober. Service provided.
