Marin 911: Teen accuses parents of taking his dope, police called

FAIRFAX

My Dope: Police were summoned to an overheated family scene on Marin Road where a 15-year-old boy was demanding that his parents give him his marijuana back. The parents said they didn’t have it. Situation escalated. Service provided. 

Unfinished Business: A citizen reported a dog owner let his dog do his business on Rudy Contratti Field and did not clean it up. May was wearing brown shorts and the dog was white. But both were gone when police arrived.

Welfare Check: Police on Thanksgiving Day were asked to conduct a welfare check on a man in Victory Village. They found the man dead. The Coroner’s Office was summoned to the scene. 

DUI: Police responded to a car that careened off of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Claus Drive. The driver was arrested for DUI. 

911 Tree: A citizen asked police to investigate a tree on Scenic Road being “trimmed or removed.” The caller wanted to make sure the proper permits were in order. Service provided.

Unwanted: A woman called police about an unwanted person at her home. Police arrested a man in violation of parole and took him to jail. 

Tailgater: A man, while in his car, called police about a car that was tailgating him. Police advised him to stop and let him pass, but the car behind stopped also. So, he drove to the police station with the tailgater following. He parked in front of the station and police came out. The tailgater sped away. 

Sleeper: A man slept in a sleeping bag in front of St. Rita’s Church. Police were asked to conduct a welfare check, which they did. The man voluntarily left the area. 

MILL VALLEY

Strange Looks: A woman called police about a 40-ish disabled man in a coffee shop on Camino Alto. He was talking to young girls and the caller insisted the man was giving the girls  inappropriate looks. Police contacted the man. No crime committed. 

Porch Pirate: A package was stolen from the front door of a house on Eucalyptus. Service provided. 

Old Mill School: A citizen saw someone trying to appear to look for ways to break into the Old Mill School after hours. Building secured. Service provided.

Hold My Beer: A man who appeared three sheets to the wind walked into a store on Miller Avenue, sat in a chair, handed an employee an empty beer can and asked him to throw it away. He then stumbled out. Police called. Service provided.

Wrench Man: A citizen called police about a man working on a fire hydrant on Blithedale Avenue. He said the man with a wrench didn’t look like he should fooling around with a hydrant. He had long “scraggly hair and a cigarette dangling from his mouth.” Service provided.

Loud Party: A party on Alvardo Avenue got a little noisy for neighbors. Police talked to the hosts who promised to hold it down. 

MARIN SHERIFF

Binford Road: A homeless person camped out in front of a business on Binford Road. Shopkeeper felt uncomfortable talking to the campers directly and asked deputies to move along and away from the business. Service provided. 

Stockers: A citizen on Dec. 2 reported someone trying to break into a store on College Avenue in Kentfield. Turned out to be workers restocking. Service provided. 

E-Bikers: A covey of kids on e-bikes were reported banging on cars on Marinwood Avenue. Scattered when deputies arrived.Domestic: A woman reported her boyfriend threw her out of the car  at Gate Six and Half Road in Sausalito. He also took her phone. Service provided.
