A big Marin Ballet celebration party and fundraiser will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, March 24. The company announced that two anniversary performances will be given on Sunday, March 26, at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. A goal of $60,000 from these special events to benefit its Laurie Klein Scholarship Fund which provides tuition assistance to students in need.

Guests will enjoy dinner by Insalata’s with local wines. There will be dance-themed activities in each studio, plus live and silent auctions that offer unique experiences and gifts. The evening is capped by birthday cake and dancing. Tickets are $85.
The Anniversary Performance will take place on March 26 at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the Center for the Arts, Marin School of the Arts, 625 Arthur St. in Novato.

The 60th Anniversary Performance showcases the artistry of Marin Ballet’s current ballet students. Audiences will enjoy new pieces and choreography by Amy London, Charlie Martin, Catherine Hader and Corinne Jonas. Performance Director Julia Adam has created a new work which includes the entire school. The hour-long show is presented at the state-of-the-art Center for the Arts theater at Marin School of the Arts.
