Marin kids convicted in Rome granted a new trial

Marin kids Finnegan Lee Elder and Gabriel Natale-Hjorth were teenagers on 26 July 2019 when a Italian plain clothes police in a drug deal gone bad. They were convicted, but the country’s high court has granted them a new trial on the grounds that they may not have spoken enough Italian to know what was going on. Elder and Natale-Hjorth are now 23 and 24, respectively.
