People in Marin need help. The North Marin Community Services is a place to get it. Tuesday mornings a group of busy multi-generational volunteers unload bins, boxes and bags of produce, bakery goods, and fruit to distribute to over 300 hundred families who need food in Marin. The parking lot next to the NMCS building at 1907 Novato Blvd. serves people who need help during the COVID-19 shutdown. Aside from food, families need help stemming from sudden layoffs in the form of utility and rent assistance. Members of the Rotary Club of Novato members, as well as members of other local Rotary Clubs, gave $15,000 to the cause. Above, center, CEO Cheryl Paddack holds a check presented to her by Outgoing and incoming Rotary Club of Novato Presidents Ron Harness and Chris DeGabriele. Anyone needing help can call 415-897-4147 to get the details on how to sign up in advance.
