Marin socialist group calls Israel president a ‘war criminal’ and criticizes Rep. Damon Connolly for taking a trip to the region

February 25, 2024 by Marin Leave a Comment

Marin Democratic Socialists of America have criticized Marin Rep. Damon Connolly for refusing to call for a cease fire in Gaza and taking a trip to Israel. The group posted this on Social Media:

Right now, 1.5 million Gazans are crammed into Rafah, having escaped the genocidal bombing campaign in the north, and are now awaiting a horrific ground invasion by the US-sponsored Israeli army.

Meanwhile, Assemblyman Connolly lends his support for this carnage by meeting with Israeli President and war criminal Isaac Herzog – who has said that there are no innocent civilians in Gaza – on a propaganda trip sponsored by supporters of the genocide of Palestinians.

Assemblyman Connolly has yet to call for a #CeasefireNow, and there is no inclination that he will spend a moment of his trip meeting with Palestinians who have faced more than 75 years of occupation, ethnic cleansing, and genocide.

Assemblyman Connolly is showing his true colors, and that his “Think globally, act locally” campaign messaging is nothing more than cynical virtue signalling. #NoVotesForGenocide
