Worried about a resurgence of COVID-19 in Marin, the County Health Department sent the following:

To: Marin Recovers Partners Bay Area Counties including Marin have seen a recent increase in COVID 19 cases. We are trying to get ahead of this outbreak by adapting guidance as we see changes in the data. We are putting forward a series of recommendations for voluntary actions this week that if the trend of increased numbers continues would likely become requirements on Tuesday of next week. These recommendations include the following:

  • Reduce Indoor Dining Capacity From 50% – 25%
  • Reduce Indoor Movie Theater Capacity From 50% – 25% and close concessions.
  • Reduce the Capacity of Indoor Faith Based and Cultural Ceremonies from 50% to 25%

We are planning to issue a news release regarding this on Thursday and will review the case rate on Monday of next week to determine if voluntary recommendations will be turned into mandatory requirements on Tuesday.
