New Pride flag donated to Novato Community Hospital

On Tuesday (Dec. 13) a flag raising ceremony was planned at Novato Community Hospital. Longtime locals and gay married couple Lolma and Beth, above, replaced the hospital’s existing LGBTQ Pride flag with a new one that they donated. Beth and Lolma were joined by other LGBTQ seniors with The Spahr Center, an organization for Marin’s LGBTQ+ and HIV communities. The couple’s inspiration for the flag raising came when Beth underwent a joint replacement at NCH earlier this year. While recovering in her patient room, Beth and Lolma looked out to see the hospital flying the Pride flag, which they loved, but noticed it was a bit worn and tattered. Now they are taking the opportunity to donate a fresh one.

This old Pride flag will be replaced, thanks to a donation.
