Novato City Council: Presbyterian Church’s 125th anniversary commemorated

September 18, 2021 by Marin Leave a Comment

The Novato City Council issued a proclamation commemorating the 125th anniversary of the Presbyterian Church in Novato.

Adam Smith and Sally Carbonara from the church were on had for the Zoom meeting. Smith, who noted that’s only been here for the last 2 and half years of the Church’s journey, said “I am blown away by the good our church does. If there is something that needs to be done, our church finda way.”

He also said that 25% of the money the church collects goes to outreach.

Mayor Pat Eklund in making the proclamation said “We’re looking forward to another 125 years.”

In another item of business at the Sept. 14 Council meeting, a presentation by the Multi-Cultural Commission Chairman Nicole Gardner was scheduled. But there were technical difficulties that prevented Gardner to be heard clearly.

“Nicole? Oh, we lost her,” Mayor Eklund said. “Maybe she’ll come back.”

She did, but the audible issues remained.

So, the Council decided to reschedule the report from Gardner.

“Sorry for that everyone,” said Eklund.
