The Novato dance team, above, achieved “the highest goal of educational athletics” recently when Pat Cruickshank, commissioner of Athletics NCS, presented the team with the North Coast Section Scholastic Championship Team Award for winter 2022. The award is presented to the top three NCS varsity teams in each division of classification in each sport with the highest composite GPA of 3.0 (unweighted). “Recognizing that there are 175 schools in the NCS, this is indeed an outstanding achievement,” Cruickshank said in his letter to the team.
