Mr. and Mrs. Claus greet families at the 48th annual Holiday Share Toy and Food Distribution in Novato on Saturday. The event, put on by North Marin Community Services, with support from generous sponsors, will help 200 families and 400 children during this holiday season.
Santa and Mrs. Claus and some of their elves from the North Marin Community Services were in Marin Saturday to share some early holiday presents: toys and food for families in urgent need.
Volunteers were dancing to holiday music over the loudspeakers and handing bags of food to families during the 48th annual Holiday Share Toy and Food Distribution event in Novato. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was held as a drive-thru this year, but that didn’t seem to dampen anyone’s spirits.
Mr. and Mrs. Claus greeted each car that pulled up to receive a donation, waving and spreading a little holiday cheer. Families brought their children and even their dogs and cats along for the experience.
