March 31, 2021 by Marin Leave a Comment

Jack Moffett, Novato High School senior, has been named a National Merit Scholarship Finalist.  He was one of 12 students in Marin County named a Semi-Finalist in September 2020.

Moffett is one of more than 15,000 finalists that will be considered for a National Merit Scholarship in 2021 and has demonstrated through distinguished performance high potential for future academic accomplishment.  These 15,000 finalists comprise approximately 1% of high school seniors across the country.

In addition, the following students have been named a Commended Student by the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC):

San Marin High School: Izagani Aquino, Madison Cinelli, Evan Colenbrander, Derek Dela Cruz and Andersen Teoh.

Novato High School: Emily G. Oblites and Timothy Simmons.

“On behalf of myself and the Board of Trustees, we congratulate Jack and all our National Merit scholars.  They have shown dedication and resilience, especially this past year, and are very proud and impressed with their accomplishments,” said Superintendent Kris Cosca.
