Novato woman, 54, pulled over for DUI; suspended license and meth found in her car

At around 8:43 a.m. on June 28, 2025, Novato Police Officers were alerted to a suspected intoxicated driver in the area of Redwood Boulevard and Delong Avenue. 

Officers began searching for the car, locating it near South Novato Boulevard and Sunset Parkway. The driver was contacted and identified as Tammy Manzanilla, a 54-year-old who resides in Novato. Manzanilla displayed signs of impairment upon contact and was subsequently evaluated for DUI.

After failing the field sobriety tests, Manzanilla was placed under arrest. She was found to have a suspended license for a previous DUI as well as suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

Manzanilla was booked into the Marin County Jail for DUI, driving on a suspended license, being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, and violation of probation.

This incident serves an important reminder, that there is more than one way to be under the influence.
