Novato woman looks to represent Marin in Congress

July 5, 2023 by Marin 5 Comments

Tief Gibbs, president of the Novato Republican Women Federated, announced informally this week that she’s running for Congress in the second district, currently held by Jared Huffman, a Democrat.

Rep. Huffman has represented the sprawling congressional district since 2013. The district begins at the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin and goes to the Oregon border.

“I grew up in California and it is a place where I want my children to stay. Now I’m worried for them. My primary reason for entering this race is deeply personal for me. My daughter is a ranked college female wrestler and could face potential serious injury or death in wrestling a man calling himself a woman. Girls and women deserve to be protected. I support the Women and Girls in Sports Act in Congress requiring schools to protect individuals from sex discrimination based on a persons reproductive biology and genetics at birth,” Gibbs says.

Gibbs called homelessness in Marin “mushrooming” and said: “We need to stop throwing money at the homeless problem and focus on law enforcement as well as shelter solutions.” says Gibbs.

The press release announcing the candidacy read:

“Gibbs will also fight for more water storage, something for which our California leadership is getting flunking grades. Aside from water storage, we need more California dams to provide vital flood control, generate electricity, supply our agricultural industry, and maintain proper water levels and fresh water flows in major California rivers and tributaries.

“‘Build up dams, don’t tear them down,’ says Gibbs. ‘The threat of drought will always be with us in California.  I want to ensure we are prepared for the next one.’

“Tief is also deeply concerned about providing School Choice in CA.

“Tief is a fierce fighter to keep development decisions local.

“Gibbs will formally announce her candidacy at a campaign event July 15th that also features the work of dedicated Californians who are coalescing to ensure Election Integrity for all voters, regardless of party registration.”

Tief is the right person for the job, she has her hand on the pulse of everything that we Californians are struggling with. She will make an outstanding Congresswoman with her can do attitude. I will be campaigning for her.

Tier is the absolute worst person for the job! She’s a MAGA Republican with extreme views like drag queens reading stories to children are “grooming” them. She has expressed her judgemental hatred toward anyone unhoused, presuming them all to be criminals, drug addicts and mentally I’ll. In other words, human trash in her MAGA world. She was involved in the hate caravan that went to harass black people in Marin City during the election and has spread other hateful, racist and harmful views. She is the last person we need in office. I dare you to print this.

Tief is a loving mother and Christian that has compassion for all people, including transgenders. Unlike Meg, she recognizes that it is in appropriate for adult transgenders to impose their sexuality on young children. Tief also realizes that sexually mutilating children is irreversible and makes them patients for life to unscrupulous doctors in the medical industry that prey on those confused about their sexuality. And unlike Meg, Tief wants to solve the homeless crisis so her fellow man needn’t live in filth and squalor that lowers their quality of life and other Californians. Meg’s homeless “solutions” perpetuate the problem while benefitting those that prosper providing homeless services. And Meg prefers that the homeless continue harming a protected wetland with their trash and human waste rather than providing services to them at a less environmentally harmful location.

Questioning the appropriateness of drag queens performing in front of children is not extreme,

Read the following background information supplied by Gibbs’ own campaign website’s ‘About’ page, and decide if you think someone who failed to get elected to a small town school board because of her bigoted provincial views has the kind and quality of professional experience expected of one entrusted to represent our district in Congress.

“Tief Gibbs is a wife and mother of two adult children. She lives in Novato with her husband. Together they run their small business in downtown Novato called Vintage Vehicles. Tief is a board member of the Novato Downtown Business Association. Tief graduated from San Diego State University with an Economics major and a German minor. Tief spent a year in Munich, Germany as a nanny and then a summer in Lahr, Germany working for a bank.”
