Remember:
Never drink and drive.
Don’t let someone get behind the wheel if that person has been drinking or doing drugs.
If you’re hosting a gathering, make sure everyone has a sober ride home.
Always wear your seat belt. It’s your best defense against impaired drivers.
The Novato Police Department continues to prioritize enforcement of impaired drivers and create safer roadways for our community. Please remember it is a violation to operate any motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other substances. We encourage our community to report impaired drivers on our roadways and to engage in responsible consumption of alcohol by designating a driver or utilizing a ride share service such as Uber or Lyft.
Give us a call day (415-897-4361) or night (415-899-1122) to report suspicious activity. In an emergency, call 9-1-1. For more information, www.nhtsa.gov/risky-driving/drunk-driving.
Together, we can create a safer community for all!
