Omicron delays Novato birthday bash

January 17, 2022 by Marin Leave a Comment

Sometimes birthday parties have to be postponed. That’s what has happened to the Paint the Town Red gala this year. The committee met last week and decided “out of an abundance of common sense” to push the annual Novato birthday party off to a safer time.

As the Omicron variant spread in Marin, the committee set the event for June 3.

It was supposed to take place on Jan. 22 at the Bill and Adele Jonas Center on the College of Marin Indian Valley campus.

More details on precautions will be forthcoming. Watch your Marinscope newspaper for details.

Seating at the Jonas Center accommodates 215 people. Tickets are $100 and will allow guests to a state of the city’s birthday cake, music and dance. More details can be found on B2 of today’s edition.
