Skywatchers are in for a special sight as the Perseid meteor shower peaks Wednesday (Aug. 11) between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. From Marin, the event is expected to yield up to 100 meteors per hour.
The moon sets early on the 11th, so dark skies will make viewing conditions very good from Marin.
You will be able to see the meteor shower with the naked eye. Just find a clear sky away from city lights, look up, and behold.
