Political Marin shuffle

October 15, 2021 by Marin Leave a Comment

Judy Arnold is retiring from her elected position as District 5 County Supervisor

It’s shuffle time for some politicos in Marin.

Marin County Supervisor Judy Arnold earlier in the year announced her retirement. That prompted Novato City Councilmember Eric Lucan to announce his bid to take over the seat.

Then last week Supervisor Damon Connolly announced he will run for state Assembly District 10 — a long-held seat being vacated by Marc Levine.

Marc Levine, who is near term limits, recently announced he will challenge incumbent insurance commissioner Ricardo Lara in 2022.

Connolly, 58, has been a county supervisor for seven years and is a former San Rafael city councilmember.
