‘N’ Word: Some kids fiddled with the flashing sign near the golf course and programmed it to flash the “N” word. It took a while for authorities to find a way to turn it off.
Truck Fire: A Rivan electric Truck caught fire while charging. Fire department responded. No one was injured.
Sleeper: A man slept in the park on Ryan Avenue and a citizen thought he needed help. Police talked to him and he said he was “just resting” and needed no help.
Homeless: A homeless man was reported to police living near the post office. He constantly yelled at patrons and pooped in the bushes, police were told. Police contacted the man and told him to “move along.”
Box Head: A man who appeared homeless sat near the bridge on Camino Alta. He had a box over his head. Police talked to Mr. Box Head. He told he needed no help from “the man.”
I know Mr. Box head and unfortunately he has some substance abuse issues and mental health issues going on. He dawns the box head in order to feel safe and when psychosis over takes him.
