Rotary’s ‘Tree Team’ beautifies Novato

Rotary Club Environmental Committee Chairwomen Goria Violin assembled a Novato Tree Committee.

Alan Dunham initiated the Tree Planting idea on Wilson Ave to replace 17 Northern Red Oak to match existing trees.

Gloria Violin of the Rotary Club of Novato Environmental Committee assembled a “Tree Team” that included Jeanne and Patrick MacLeamy, Rick Hanley, Larry Paulger and Gloria Violin. Volunteers representing all four Rotary Clubs in Novato joined by Novato City Street Crews and City administrators. 

A one block section of Wilson Ave was diverted for the tree planting that involved over 2 dozen volunteers on foot with crew and trucks for heavy equipment.
