The Sausalito Center for the Arts (SCA) officially opens its doors in Sausalito 4 p.m Feb. 16.
The center will be a multi-use artistic venue in the heart of downtown Sausalito, along the iconic Bridgeway, establishing a center of the city. It will showcase art and cultural events in all forms (including visual art, musical acts, spoken word and more), as well as serve as an educational, meeting and community building space. The SCA will intersect art, culture, and community giving both visitors and locals something to enjoy.
Sausalito is a community with a rich arts heritage, from its floating homes and art galleries, to iconic landmarks like the Record Plant, and Heath Ceramics Factory, and the SCA is the embodiment of that. Upcoming events at the SCA include Spotlight Sausalito (Feb. 16 – Mar. 19) which highlights the city’s artistic legacy, its present day art scene, and creative vision for the future through a multi exhibit exhibition.
