Central Marin Police Sergeant Sean Kerr, badge number 17, is retiring after 25 years of dedicated service to the communities of Corte Madera, Larkspur, and San Anselmo.
Sgt. Kerr started his law enforcement career with the Mill Valley Police Department in 1998 where he was a Field Training Officer (FTO). Sergeant Kerr lateraled to the Twin Cities Police Authority in 2002, later becoming the Central Marin Police Authority in 2013. During his time at Central Marin Police, Kerr has been an FTO, a detective, a special weapons and tactics team member (SWAT), a corporal, and sergeant.
From 2014 to 2019, Kerr was assigned to the Northern California Computer Crimes Task Force as a detective. In 2016, he was selected to be a member of the United States Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force.
In 2019, he returned to CMPA and became the Field Training Program Supervisor.
