Stockton serial killer widens; Bay Area warned to take care

October 6, 2022 by Marin Leave a Comment

Police believe they are on the hunt for a serial killer (or killers) in the Bay Area.

Six people were shot to death between July 8 and Sept. 27 in Stockton. Last Monday, authorities confirmed two more cases from April 2021 (one in Stockton and one in Oakland) may also be related.

The expanded inquiry – linked through ballistics – has heightened concerns among residents and police departments throughout the Bay Area. Although there is no known connection to Marin other than general proximity, authorities nevertheless are warning all to be vigilant, avoid traveling alone at night and to stay in well-lit areas.

All of the victims have been Hispanic.
