Tamalpais Union High School District issues layoff notices

Because of budget shortfall worries, the Tamalpais Union High School District trustees sent layoff notices last week to teachers and campus staff assistants.

The so-called “pink slips” serve as a warning to employees. But, if the financial situation improves, the district may not have to follow-through with the layoffs.

On the chopping block are four full-time teachers, one  at Archie Williams High School, one at Tamalpais High School and one at Redwood High School.
