Vigilant residents of the Bay Vista Apartments in Hamilton reported an in-progress mail theft last week.
Novato Police officers responded and located a vehicle matching the description provided to officers. Officers stopped the car and detained three people. Two of the people in the car possessed United States Postal Service mailbox keys.
A large amount of suspected stolen mail was discovered in the vehicle. The suspected stolen mail was addressed to dozens of residents throughout the City of Novato. Three people were arrested and booked into the Marin County Jail for mail theft-related crimes including burglary, conspiracy, possessing identity theft material, narcotics violations, providing false identification to police, and violation of probation/parole.
The suspects were identified as: Ramon Keo, 35, of San Rafael, Charlene Clark, 30 of Sacramento and Analilia Acosta, 42, of San Rafael.
