Wall property discussions continue with Marin Open Space Trust

January 24, 2024 by Marin Leave a Comment

This report is from the Town of Fairfax weekly newsletter:

Due diligence investigations of the property have gotten underway in cooperation with Marin Open Space Trust (MOST) and the Town of Fairfax. Discussions are continuing between Marin County and the Town about the ownership of the Wall property and management of the trails and open space. MOST will need a firm commitment by April 22 from the future owner to accept the property to continue with the campaign.

If the purchase is not completed, MOST will return the donors’ contributions. To date pledges exceeding $1 million and donations of about $55,000 have been received.

On Saturday evening, the Fairfax Open Space Committee held a fundraiser to spread awareness about this opportunity. The fundraiser saw a huge turnout of over 150 attendees.

Since the formation of the Wall Property Council Subcomittee in late September, subcommittee members, Chance Cutrano and Barbara Coler, have been working with MOST to explore the acquisition of the Wall Property for open space.

Supporters can stay up to date and make donations or pledges on MOST’s website.
