Yes, Marin sheriff deputies work on all kinds of safety issues

January 5, 2024 by Marin Leave a Comment

Sheriff’s deputies clear a fallen tree during the recent inclement weather in Marin.

During the recent rainy weather, a large tree located in the Loma Verde Preserve fell into a woman’s backyard on Calle Paseo, causing damage to her fence and landscape.

Due to the tree falling from OSD lands, Marin County Sheriff Deputy J. Garcia, along with a few Open Space Rangers were able to access the woman’s property (with her permission, of course) and with a chainsaw safely remove the felled tree back onto OSD lands.

Removing felled trees from trails, fire roads, drainage checks and maintenance are a few of the many duties performed by the department.
